Diploma in Disaster Management is a 1-year diploma course imparting knowledge about disaster preparedness, mitigation and rehabilitation.

This course covers pre-disaster planning, disaster response, and putting plans and strategies into action so that losses can be avoided, reduced, or even avoided. Students learn how to recognise coming disasters and respond to them in an organised manner throughout the course.

The admission to the diploma programme in disaster management is based on the students’ prior highest degree’s merit scores. For certain universities, however, admissions procedures may also include a personal interview in addition to an entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission must have cleared Intermediate from a recognised board with at least 55% to be eligible for this course.
